"Chicago Fire" has just ended its season three leaving fans in deep cliffhanger that will take about six months before the next season starts answering the twists that have taken place concerning the household of Firehouse 51. The good news is there definitely will be a season four!
With season three ending with huge surprises such as Dawson rushing to Casey's apartment to inform her ex-fiance about her pregnancy and finding out Katia's dead body on the floor instead, Casey missing, the unexpected hookup between Brett and Roman, and the blossoming friendship between Severide and Dawson after a near-death experience at the station, season four looks very promising to anticipate for.
Matt Olmstead did actually tease that Season 4 will see the crew of Station 51 deal with getting "knocked out of their comfort zone a little bit." There is also a speculation that a new cast is going to be introduced in the series which will spice the next plot even more.
The viewers are waiting for the upcoming confrontation between Dawson and Casey about their baby, especially since the fetus seems rather unexpected. With Dawson having fought hard for the spot as a firefighter, the trouble will lie on whether she is going to keep the baby or not, and the question that needs to be satiated is if this pregnancy can commence the two to get back together.
Jesse Spencer playing Matt Casey and Monica Raymund portraying Gabriela Dawson together mentioned in an interview that their characters indeed love each other but that "circumstances aren't allowing that right now."
When asked why their characters needs to be apart, Spencer answered, "You've got to create drama and tension. Obviously we want it to be as organic as possible, and the fact that you cannot be married and be on the same truck is a real thing - that's not allowed by law."
This could suggest that either of them has to get out of station 51 to make them happen. With Dawson's growing bump, there is a possibility that she may not be allowed to work in the field. This opens a chance for Casey to suggest an exit for the pregnant woman and work on their relationship as well.
That is if Casey is ever going to be found - safe and unframed. There is a large probability that he will be tied to the friendly stripper's death and that would be one of the scenes to look forward to in the season four of "Chicago Fire" which will hit the small screen in November airing every Tuesday at 10 p.m. on NBC.
