“Bruce Jenner Appears As Caitlyn Jenner”: First Four Children Refuse To Join Her New Reality Show; New Identity Acceptance Farfetched?

By

Bruce Jenner has transformed himself into Caitlyn Jenner. Her first public appearance as Caitlyn was on this month's Vanity Fair issue. As expected the reveal gathered a lot of mixed reactions.

The public may have just recently knew about Bruce Jenner's true self but not his children and ex-wives, prior to Kris. Kris Jenner said she has no hint whatsoever about Bruce's true identity. Kris was married to Bruce aka Caitlyn Jenner for 24 years. In Caitlyn's interview with Bissinger for her Vanity Fair cover debut as a transgender woman, she said that she believed Kris was certainly clueless. She admitted that Bruce had downplayed his true self at the time when he was still married to Kris. Today, she added that Caitlyn is "free at last to be her true self".

Caitlyn's four children, who are born from her two marriages previous to Kris, are very supportive with her decision to transform as a woman and go public about it. However, they decline to participate in her new reality show for E! Entertainment.

Cassandra, Burt, Brandon, and Brody Jenner said that they dread that the studio together with the producer will sensationalize the story of their father now that he is living publicly and normally as a woman. In addition, the children also oppose the idea of having not only the same production company for the new reality TV show intended for Caitlyn Jenner's new life but also keeping the same people in the production team.

Of course, Caitlyn Jenner is left hurt and disappointed by the decision of her children. The four kids still doubt that the show will remain sound and modest despite Caitlyn was reasoning out to them that as the executive producer she could keep it from deviating from the course of her aspiration to make her story inspiring and enlightening to the viewers.

While others may have accepted Caitlyn Jenner who looks a lot like Jessica Lange in her photo in the Vanity Fair cover, there are a few who cannot dismiss Bruce Jenner. Some have expressed their opinion in social media like Twitter. One of them is Drake Bell. The musician and former child star could not help but tweet. According to US Weekly, Bell tweeted "Sorry, Still calling you Bruce."

Bell's post had been deleted after it was criticized badly by numerous tweeps who thought the tweet is rude. Accused that his tweet is transphobic, Bell explained himself. In another deleted tweet, he said that he was not insulting Bruce Jenner and that Bell could not simply disregard Jenner's legacy.

Regardless what people say or how insensitive their comments may be, Caitlyn Jenner is undoubtedly hailed as the "most famous transgender person in the world."
