While we all wait for the official release date for Resident Evil 7, which will most likely be announced on this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June 16 to 18, here are some reports that might speak about the truth for the game.
It has been a totally agreeable notion that the long famous franchise had become one of the pioneering games in the history of all video games. Though, fans have been expressing their dislike and disappointment upon several former installments of the game, and seek for a development on some features with the upcoming seventh installment.
Among the things fans all wish to change, remove and improve, according to Whatculture, are the Quick Time Events (QTEs), enemies (zombies mostly) who use guns, more and more puzzles, co-ops, the pacing of the story, and more focus on characterization.
Well, most clearly, what the fans want is to just bring back the charm of the game.
The game hasn't been introduced during E3 of last year, that is why speculations of it being announced this year is very probable. Though, SuperData wrote earlier this year that the game will come out in the fall season this year, along with Halo 5: Guardians.
There were also rumors rounding up the internet that Alice will be returning for the seventh installment, and three new characters (two of which are female) will be added.
It has also been said that Barry Burton and Claire Redfield will reappear, as Capcom will head to backstories to keep the story fresh while keeping hold on its beginnings. More so, the game will focus more on the atmosphere, and cinematic camera angles will be emphasized, as the game has been so strong with the latter.
Capcom will be bringing several action, adventure and fighting titles on E3 this year. And Resident Evil details will be unveiled along others in the said event. It is only until then when fans will disregard this or will the company redeem its long name of the horror/thriller genre.
