Pacific Rim 2 Actor Charlie Hunnam Enthusiastic About Title Role in Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur; Other Major Casts, Plot Revealed

Guy Richie's Knights of the Round Table is currently being worked on, and actor Charlie Hunnam, shares that he is in fact a fan of the character he's playing. The movie is a part of a six-film series which will largely be about chivalry, bravery, and love.

Charlie Hunnam who is slated to play King Arthur, is very enthusiastic about his role in the upcoming film as he revealed in one interview that he is a fan of the character. The actor confided that he watched all movies about the English legend and that it was probably what get him to start acting.

Richie's Knights of the Round Table is an adaptation of the classic legend of King Arthur. The plot of the movie revolves around a young Arthur discovering about his royalty, and seeking revenge against the character of Vortigern, played by Jude Law. King Arthur discovers about his royal background upon drawing the sword, Excalibur.

"The bold new story introduces a streetwise young Arthur who runs the back alleys of Londonium [sic] with his gang, unaware of the life he was born for until he grasps hold of the sword Excalibur-and with it, his future. Instantly challenged by the power of Excalibur, Arthur is forced to make some hard choices. Throwing in with the Resistance and a mysterious young woman named Guinevere, he must learn to master the sword, face down his demons and unite the people to defeat the tyrant Vortigern, who stole his crown and murdered his parents, and become King." The synopsis of the film read.

The film's cast reportedly includes Astrid Berges-Frisbey who will play as King Arthur's love interest, Guinevere, Djimon Hounsou as Bevidere, Aiden Gillen as Goosefat Bill, Eric Bana as Uther Pendragon (Arthur's father), and Poppy Delevigne as Igraine (Arthur's mother).

It hasn't been confirmed whether Ritchie will stick to the original flow of the story or add his own twist to it. It is also reportedly worth anticipating how the love triangle of King Arthur, Guinevere, and Lancelot will end.

There is much to look forward to as the movie is only the first instalment of a six-film series. The Knights of the Round Table hits theaters in July 2016.
