It might be possible for the fans of Michael Fassbender and his rising star girlfriend, Alicia Vikander to see their real-life romance in the big screen as the 26-year-old "Ex Machina" actress is rumored to also star in the long-awaited adaptation of the historical fiction video game "Assassin's Creed".
Following the success of Alex Garland's directorial debut "Ex Machina" where she played the role of the sexy A.I., Ava, Alicia Vikander is allegedly already in talks to join the cast of the forthcoming film adaptation of "Assassin's Creed" which according to MStarz, is produced by her current boyfriend, Michael Fassbender.
Deadline reports that aside from "Assassin's Creed", the Swedish actress is also being negotiated to appear in Paul Greengrass' upcoming Bourne project with Matt Damon. It is uncertain though whether the actress will join both films due to her busy schedules. In fact, Recently, Vikander has dropped out of Tom Hank's movie project entitled "The Circle" because of the same reason. Deadline reports that the "Harry Potter" star Emma Watson has replaced her spot in the said film.
There might be no confirmation regarding these reports yet but if Vikander chooses to board with the film adaptation of the video game, she will be joining her 38-year-old boyfriend alongside Marion Cotillard whose roles are still undisclosed.
The forthcoming film which is currently still in development, will be directed by Justin Kurzel, the same director of Fassbender and Cotillard's recent film "Macbeth". There is no word from the producers yet concerning the target release date of the 'Assassin's Creed" but Fassbender has recently announced that the cast and crew will begin filming in September.
As for Vikander, she is set to appear in a number of movies this year including "The Man from U.N.C.L.E," "The Danish Girl," "The Light Between Oceans," "Adam Jones" and "Tulip Fever."
