‘Ultimate Spider-Man’ and ‘Avengers Assemble’ TV Series Update: Disney XD Renews Marvel’s Shows for New Seasons

Digital cable channel Disney XD has ordered new seasons of the two leading animated television series "Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man" and "Marvel's Avengers Assemble" for the network's Marvel programming block. The said TV shows' new seasons will air on 2016.

Marvel's two TV shows on Disney XD have been given new seasons to introduce a new band of villains and continue the characters' adventures, reports Deadline. The "Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man" has been renewed for season four and was given with a new title "Ultimate Spider-Man vs. The Sinister Six" to highlight the new antagonists. The same thing with "Marvel's Avengers Assemble," which was retitled "Avengers: Ultron Revolution" for its third season.

In the "Ultimate Spider-Man vs. The Sinister Six," Spider-Man will be facing the combined forces of Doctor Octopus, Hydra, and an all-new Sinister 6, Comic Book states. With lots of villains to dispute, the well-known webslinger will seek the help of fellow heroes Miles Morales, Agent Venom, Iron Spider, and new character The Scarlet Spider.

The "Avengers: Ultron Revolution" will center on the return of the villainous Ultron, The Avengers team will also counter with the new band of villains including Baron Zemo, the Masters of Evil, the Inhumans, and the Kang the Conqueror. Somehow, an aid will come from the Marvel Studios heroes like Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Ant-Man, and Ms. Marvel.

"We're delighted that Disney XD is partnering with the world-class Marvel team to bring our viewers new installments featuring the Avengers and Spider-Man, some of the world's most iconic and engaging comic book characters," said Senior Vice President Marc Buhaj of Disney XD in the official press statement.

Disney veteran Drake Bell leads the voice cast as Peter Parker in "Spider-Man" series together with Chi McBride as Nick Fury, and Steven Weber as Norman Osborn. Stan Lee will be returning as a guest voice for Stan the Janitor.

Meanwhile, for "Avengers" TV series, the voice cast includes Roger Craig Smith as Captain America, Fred Tatasciore as Hulk, Travis Willingham as Thor, Adrian Pasdar as Iron Man, Troy Baker as Hawkeye, and among others.
