Agent Carter Season 2 will be back on ABC by 2016. This surprising news from the network has made thousands of loyal fans extremely happy. Despite the low ratings, the network gave Agent Carter another chance. According to Hayley Atwell, the show's lead, the second season will have an Agent Carter who is a stronger woman but with more sense of humor.
According to International Business Times, the first season of Agent Carter was mainly shot in New York. However, there will be a different scenery next season as the team is bound to go to Los Angeles where Peggy Carter is now tougher after being devastated by Captain America's lost. And because of her life's challenges during the previous season, the Strategic Scientific Reserve might give her more 'deadly' assignments. The second season of Agent Carter will reveal more about her character. To date, there are no updates regarding the show's plot as the team is still writing the story.
Atwell already shared that some of the cast from season 1 will return for the next run. We have Dominic Copper and James D'Arcy who will play as Stark and Jarvis as cited by Vine Report. There is still no confirmation for the rest of the cast.
Meanwhile, UK will have a taste of Peggy Carter as it has been picked up by Fox UK. The eight-episode season will air next month.
Agent Carter's ratings reveal that it was not able to sustain its pool of fans for the entire season. While the story as a whole was great, critics and other viewers believe that it lacks consistency. According to experts, the show should create stronger and better cliffhangers which will make the fans hungry for more. Provided that the show was given another chance, producers are expected to give its followers a more explosive season this time around.
