Last May, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developer CD Projekt RED announced that there will be an update for the game which will resolve several bugs, fix stability issues and make some small changes such as the new game icon.
CD Projekt RED announced that they will release a patch for the PC and Xbox One/PlayStation 4 called Patch 1.04 and Patch 1.05 respectively as reported by Christian Today. According to the released patch notes, these patches will fix several issues in the game such as bugs in some quests which prevent the player from completing the quest. The patch will also solve some problems with the AI and NPCs such as not being able to interact with some NPCs and some characters in quests are sometimes not present. It will also fix some issues when the player moves around in game because players can sometimes fall under terrain and get trapped in dungeons.
Techtimes stated that the Patch 1.04 and Patch 1.05 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will also resolve the XP bug when players do a game quest that is 6 or more levels below their character's level. When players complete the quest, the character does not gain any XP. CD Projekt RED posted in official The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt forum that the issue was not a serious one. Patch 1.04 for the Xbox One will also improve the graphics of the game because it will increase the frame rate to 30 fps and players will no longer be able to set the frame rate below 30 fps once the patch has been applied. This will give the game graphics a smoother texture and more detailed movement when players are exploring. However, the team is still hard at work tweaking the game in order for it to have better performance after the upcoming patch as confirmed by Gamepur.
A fan asked Community Coordinator Marcin Momot on Twitter regarding the max level in the game. Marcin replied to him saying that "There is no level cap" The team is still trying to resolve this issue in Patch 1.05 for the PC.
