Driveclub receives the newest patch 1.17 for Driveclub that will enable the release of the game's PS Plus Edition and tweak performance bugs including other changes in the game.
Game developer Evolution Studios has rolled out the new patch 1.17 for the Playstation exclusive Driveclub that consumes a 0.1 GB storage space and tweaks performance bugs seen in the challenge menus.
A free DriveClub PS Plus Edition was already set for release but some problems got in the way that subscribers hasn't got their hands on and play the game until now but accoding to the developer, the long wait will soon be over.
Driveclub will also be getting patch 1.18 as announced by Evolution Studios on its official Facebook page:
"The next Game Update is coming later in June and will continue to evolve the game and move us closer to making the PlayStation Plus Edition available again."
Evolution Studios also released description of patch 1.18:
"Update 1.18 will be packed with further changes to challenges based on your feedback, new driver levels, new accolades, options to toggle Face-offs on and off, changes to the Drifting Stat (that will make the Hoon-a-Tic Trophy accurate again), and more that we'll be ready to tell you about soon."
"The servers that provide Challenges in DRIVECLUB are being replaced and upgraded," said Evolution on its official Facebook page. "This will bring bigger, better challenges and improve server performance across the game as we continue to work to make the PlayStation Plus Edition of DRIVECLUB possible."
Earlier, a new update 1.16 also went live last week, full details of which are given below.
- Challenges will be expanded to support an unlimited number of participants.
- Challenge notifications will be integrated into the Social Hub activity feed for easy access.
- The Challenge Menu will have a new interface to make it easier to join Challenges.
- Evolution Studios Challenges will be added to the Challenge Menu for direct and easy access.
- Invitation options will be optimised to focus on active players and reduce challenge notification spam.
- More of our favourite #PS4share pictures created by the community will be added to the Menus.
- Significant technical improvements will be made to enhance server connectivity and prepare for the PlayStation Plus Edition.
The release of the free Driveclub PS Plus Edition now becomes imminent following the rollout of patch 1.17 that is now live and 1.18 update coming shortly.
