"X-Men: Apocalypse" director Bryan Singer recently teased fans with information regarding the new characters that will be joining the sequel. Additionally, a new concept art featuring Cyclops, Jean and Storm has also been released.
Singer has been sharing information about "X-Men: Apocalypse" ahead of its release next year and some of the characters that he has already mentioned include Professor X's merry mutants, Scott, Jean and Hark, according to IGN.
However, these mutants will be featured as their much younger selves because "X-Men: Apocalypse" will reportedly take place in the "present" time, which is somewhere around the 1980s.
Meanwhile, a concept art for the upcoming movie was recently released online and it featured Cyclops battling Storm.
According to Den of Geeks, this particular concept art raises speculations that Storm could actually be one of the four horsemen. The same photo also hints that this could be the very first meet up between the two characters.
In other news, there have been reports that Channing Tatum, Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry will make a cameo as Gambit, Wolverine and Adult Storm respectively in the upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse."
According to Screen Crush, the three characters should definitely return to the franchise because what is a "X-Men" movie without Gambit, Storm and most importantly, Wolverine.
However, as of late, it has not yet been confirmed whether or not the three characters will indeed appear in "X-Men: Apocalypse," but fans are already excited over the possibility.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" stars Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender. Other newcomers will include Alexandra Shipp, who will play the role of Storm, Sophie Turner, who will play the role of Jean Grey, Ben Hardy as Angel, Olivia Munn as Psylocke and more.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" will serve as the conclusion to the trilogy that began with "X-Men: First Class" and "X-Men: Days of Future Past." The third installment is slated for release in theaters in the U.S. this coming May 27, 2016.
