DOOM 4 stands on very shaky ground as there is news that despite years into its development, the title has already been scrapped. Could it be that the series has already ended? Moreover, a reboot is being planned and will be showcased in the coming E3 2015. With Bethesda having its first ever press conference, the potential for what is next for this franchise is yet to be decided.
Of course, the major title that Bethesda is focusing on this year would be none other than Fallout 4. Nevertheless, in the schedule drafted by VG 24/7, DOOM also gets a good amount of time for talks through the week of E3.
Aside from the said games, the show floor booth of the developer will also showcase another title that gamers will be able to enjoy. This would be none other than Battlecry, which was likened to Team Fortress 2, particularly with a medieval angle. The game, announced in the past year, is a free-to-play multiplayer, which is based on class.
Going back to DOOM, June 16, Tuesday at 1:00PM Pacific Time will be a chance to get an overview of the title as Marty Stratton and Hugo Martin, the producer and art director, respectively, of id Software will be present. More on the succeeding chapter of the game will be tackled the following day. At 11:00AM PT, there will be a round table with the same heads, in addition to Chief Tech Officer Robert Duffy as well as GM Garret Young.
Last on the drafted timeline for announcements on DOOM would be on June 18, Thursday at 11:00AM again. Stratton will be in a special interview involving the title's community to dive into the plans for effective development.
While DOOM 4 will not necessarily be what is next for the franchise, id Software is definitely working hard to keep fans eager for what they will have to offer. E3 will take place from June 16 to 18 in LA. It will surely be an exciting week, especially with Bethesda and its top titles in the roster.
