In line with its 2015 reboot, Marvel Comics has teased some images of the new characters for the "All-New, All-Different Marvel" including two different Wolverines and a new Spider-Man besides Peter Parker. In addition, a new Hulk and an older Captain America were revealed.
Marketed as "All-New, All-Different Marvel," Marvel Comics has announced recently that it is planning to launch a massive reboot to recreate the existing Marvel superheroes and introduce new ones, Mashable reports. The reboot will premiere this fall and will take place eight months after the conclusion of "Secret Wars."
In some released images from Marvel, several alterations were featured. iO9 cites that The Thing is going to be a member of the "Guardians of the Galaxy"; Daredevil has a spiffy uniform; a new female Wolverine has emerged in the name of Laura Kinney (X-23); and new Spider-Man aside from Peter Parker.
"We've been planning it for years," Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso said in an interview with Mashable. "We realized that ['Secret Wars'] would be a game-changing moment that would allow us to create a big white canvas. It's an unprecedented chance for us to tell new stories ...." he exclaimed.
Apart from the new ones, old-aged Captain America and Wolverine were also highlighted, Cinema Blend notes. An all-new Hulk will also be presented, according to Alonso. The reboot will be implemented via the planned 55 to 60 books, which will introduce new storylines.
Alonso also hinted that new places will appear on the map and some new teams that are necessary to deal with new threats will materialize in the "All-New, All-Different Marvel."
The reboot will not erase the history that the previous comics have created. However, it will generate a new universe after the "Secret Wars."
