Horror of horrors! Teen Wolf Season 5 could be the baddest, meanest Teen Wolf ever since Jeff Davis expanded the 1985 film of the same name and debuted in on MTV in 2011. Credit it to a creepy new title, berserk doctors in outlandish clothing and one seemingly ordinary high school and you've got yourself one roller coaster ride of a TV series, 20 episodes of mayhem and gore. And then some.
Early this year in January, Executive Producer Jeff Davis, the man who envisioned how social outcast Scott McCall's high school life is going to wind up with so much adrenaline, confirmed it himself via Instagram season 5 premier title. But he's just started and of late revealed details of episode 2. Starting with the title which according to the man of the hour is going to be "Parasomnia."
You may get the idea that it's a play of two words starting with root word insomnia. And you guess it right, it's about those dreaded sleepless nights.
What is most interesting is that this word is a true real world medical term which simply refers to a sleep disorder which could include nightmares, sleepwalking and even sleep paralysis. Not your usual case.
But since we are dealing with the werewolves and all the other creepy creatures - except vampires, then expect a twisted meaning of the word, definitely something beyond the realm of the ordinary. As most die-hard fans would know by now.
Then there's bigger fish to fry.
First stop: Enter three baddest villains in the form of doctors. Featured in the new season's trailer are Victorian era-dressed steampunk medical professionals coming from a particular mythology or past life we know not except that they're sure to bring the bloodshed and adrenaline-pumping action to new heights.
Then there's the possible insertion of the mysterious Sluagh(sloo-ah), an Irish-Scottish mythological creature of the creepiest kind. According to folklore the creature eats the souls of or if you're lucky just plants parts of its rotten soul into the bodies of its its sleeping victims. Initial reports of its appearance appeared in reports in March.
Now if you think the TV series which is set to premier June 29, 10P.M. on MTV is underrated you better think again. Most definitely, Teen Wolf Season 5 is anything but.
