The Hateful Eight's lead star Samuel Jackson shared about their experience while shooting the said movie saying that they had to do it inside a 30 degree fahrenheit refrigerator set everyday. The Vine reports that according to Jackson, who plays one of the bounty hunters Major Marquis Warren, besides Tarantino shooting them in the snow, they were put inside a room covered with ice in order to achieve a shivering effect. The actor described it as a very tough and miserable moment but they were all excited to see the outcome. Jackson added that they hoped it would come out as unbelievable as they felt it was.
The Eightful Eight is about 8 bounty hunters trapped in a shelter during a snowstorm set in a post-civil war era. Tarantino was quoted as saying that the story's background will be a little similar to his first movie Reservoir Dogs and will have the same feel as The Iceman Cometh. Jackson will also have a classic monologue.
The movie will be released in the later part of 2015 which includes cast such as Kurt Russel, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, Walton Goggins and Demián Bichir.
Meanwhile, Tarantino offers another thing to watch out for in The Eightful Eight as he uses a 70 mm projector in the shooting of the film. Slashfilm reports that the wide image format and high resolution will be fitted to 50 theaters worldwide so that moviegoers can appreciate the movie well.
According to Collider, Tarantino is known for making non-digital films with the objective of preserving film. He hopes that more audiences would watch movie in the cinema than in their homes.
With these innovations introduced, The Hateful Eight aims to give viewers a different cinematic experience.
