“Natalie Cole and Aloe Blacc”: Attending as Performers and Awards Recipients At the Songs of Hope; Organizers to Have Silent Auctions?

Songs of Hope charity event organizers have invited Natalie Cole and Aloe Blacc not only to grace the event in receiving their awards but also to perform during the event.

EBuzz has reported that this annual event will be held in L.A at the place of music producer Ron Fair this Thursday. Songs of Hope is known for having attendance of elite personalities. You can see label executives, publishers, artists and famous musicians whose main goal is to raise funds for the City of Hope - a private, non-profit clinical research center and hospital including the graduate medical school in Duarte, California, United States.

Both Natalie Cole and Aloe Blacc will be receiving Songs Of Hope awards on the said fundraiser event. She will be awarded as Song of Hope Hitmaker while Blacc will be given the Contemporary Songwriter Award. Cole will also sing at the event to pay tribute to Burt Bacharach who will be receiving the Clive Davis Legend in Songwriting Award.

Variety Media also reported in its website the other honorees of Songs of Hope. Composer Christophe Beck of "Frozen" film will be honored with Electronic Arts Composer Award, and Charli XCX will receive the Martin Bandier Vanguard Award.

According to the report, there are already 300 guests who have RSVPed to attend the event. The organizers for this year are teamed up by Spirit Music Group Chairman David Renzer, The Davis Firm Founder Doug Davis, North America-Universal Music Publishing Group President Evan Lamberg, and Music Electronic Arts President Steve Schnur.

AllAccess says that aside from the customary celebrations of songs and songwriters. The organizers will be having a silent auction. Guests will be bidding for rare and one-of-a kind music or film experiences including autographed items. Of course, the evening will be hosted again by GRAMMY-winning producer Jimmy Jam.

To date, the event has gathered more than $3 million for City of Hope. Last year's gala raised $281,000 donations.

On Thursday will be another night of celebration. Guests will be entertained by the presence of Natalie Cole and Aloe Blacc. Who knows what else be featured on that evening to increase funds for City of Hope.
