Apple to launch Android App to migrate users to iOS; Multitasking features similar to Android features to also arrive in iPad

Switching from Android OS to Apple OS is so much easier now with Move to iOS app. The app is part of iOS 9, and it is designed to make transition from Android OS to iOS seamless than ever.

The Move to iOS app will allow wireless transfer of generic features, such as contacts, message, calendars, history, mail accounts, camera photos, videos, DRM-free media, wallpapers, and web bookmarks to their new iOS device.

Android users can also expect to receive auto suggestions for downloading iOS versions of free Android apps in the App Store, whereas paid apps are automatically added to a person's iTunes account Wish List.

This app will be launched later this year, presumably in the fall, when Apple launches iOS 9. Apple Store and Google Play will both have the Move to iOS app in their downloadable apps, naturally. While this app is not mentioned during the WWDC keynote, Apple included this in the complete list of new iOS 9 features.

Apple is not only keeping its eye on launching Android app to migrate users to iOS, but also copying some Android features that Android users have been used to for a while now. Among them is iPad's multitasking feature, a feature that allows the device to open multiple apps on the same screen.

Multitasking is facilitated by new features called SplitView, where users can view two active apps on the same screen; SlideOver, where users can "quickly swipe in another app from the side and pull down from the top and bring in other applications." This feature also allows users to resize windows as well as drag and drop these windows in between apps. Apps can also be resized in two options: 50/50 screen and 70/30.

Another familiar Android feature that Apple said will be available to the device is the Picture in Picture feature, which allows users to play video over other windows. While these features are not new as far as Android is concerned, these additional features make iPad a stronger Apple device.

Apple's launching of Android app to migrate users to iOS this fall may also coincide with the launching of the next iPhone device, the iPhone 6S. This rumored upcoming iPhone device is said to integrate the Apple Watch's Force Touch Technology.
