Various theories surfaced for the plot of the hit horror game Five Nights at Freddy's movie adaptation. Although there are no official announcements about the film's cast and plot, fans are hoping that the movie adaptation will be better than previous Hollywood movie adaptations of famous games.
After Warner Bros. bought the rights of the game, and the announcement was made saying that the game's movie adaptation was being planned, several plot theories surfaced suggesting how Warner Bros. can possibly give justice to the story of the well-received game.
Five theories swirled around about the possible plot for the movie.
One theory reportedly states that in order to minimize debate over the Purple Guy, Phone Guy, or Golden Freddy, the creators of the movie can reinvent the entire story instead, and include all three characters in it.
Another theory suggests that a backstory can be made regarding the Purple Guy, and why the character killed a child outside of the Fredbear's Family Diner which later caused the succeeding events in the game.
Meanwhile, another theory suggests that the creators of the movie can make a continuation of the events in Five Nights at Freddy's 3.
Another theory also suggests an organized timeline or full story about the Purple Guy which gamers are only able to encounter during flashbacks.
Although a theory about getting another perspective in the movie since the gamers have been watching in the employees point of view. A suggestion have been made about the movie to be filmed in Freddy and his friends' perspective.
Five Nights at Freddy's fans are hoping that this movie adaptation planned by Warner Bros. will give justice to the game's story, since gamers have always been aware of the fact that Hollywood has a track record of not meeting the fans' expectation games' movie adaptations like Doom and Wing Commander. Although producer Seth Gramahe-Smith did say that they are planning to turn the game into a "insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie."
