Once Upon a Time Season 5 will be back to the small screens this fall. Show creator Edward Kitsis made a recent announcement that Sean Maguire and Rebecca Mader will be promoted to series regulars in the upcoming season.
Once Upon a Time left many fans shocked at the surprise twist at the ending of Once Upon a Time Season 4. The season finale saw Regina (Lana Parilla) discovering that her estranged sister Zelena (Rebecca Mader) was still alive. The Wicked Witch of the West had tricked everyone into thinking that she was Maid Marian. Fans were even more shocked when they found out that Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) had gotten Zelena pregnant.
Robin Hood decided that the honorable thing to do was to stay with Zelena for the baby. Many fans were devastated by this, thinking that this was going to dampen the Robin Hood and Regina relationship. Instead of killing her sister, Regina decided to trap her evil sister instead of killing her. What will this mean for Robin and Regina's relationship? Will Robin marry Zelena in Once Upon a Time Season 5? Zelena has always been known to be jealous of Zelena's happiness, she will certainly want to get her hands on her sister's "true love."
Show creator Edward Kitsis teased fans on his Twitter account that both Maguire and Mader were now promoted to series regulars. Both have a fan following, and it looks like they are here to stay. A report with TVLine also says that Emma Swan will still be struggling with the Darkness in the upcoming season. The report also stated that they will be following a Sword in the Stone story arch, with Merlin, Arthur and Guinevere as new characters.
Once Upon a Time returns to ABC this fall.
