Justice League Part 1 still has a more or less 2 years before it hits theaters, and very few details have been released about the upcoming movie. So for now, a quick review might sound appropriate about what has been confirmed and rumored to be details of the film.
It has been confirmed that the Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice director, Zach Snyder will direct the Justice League franchise. Aside from that, Aquaman, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg will appear in the film. Jason Momoa will reportedly make an appearance in the upcoming Batman vs Superman film as Aquaman, and will also be in Justice League. Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck will play as Superman and Batman, respectively. Amy Adams will reportedly play Lois Lane. Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman will also be played by actress Gal Gadot. While Cyborg will be played by Ray Fisher.
Well yes, there's quite a lot of heroes on the list, but given that it's 'Justice League', the list is obviously still not complete. Rumors suggest that Green Lantern will be one of the heroes in the league, although as to who will play the role, is still a big question. While actress Jessica Cruz was rumored to be playing Green Lantern, another rumor came up saying that it will actually be Fast and Furious actress Michelle Rodriguez who will play the role. But later on, Rodrigues denied that she's playing the role.
Another actor rumored to be playing Green Lantern is actor Chris Pine. Reports say that he's one of the strongest candidates for the role, however it has not been confirmed yet.
Meanwhile, actor Mark Strong who played Sinestro in the 2011 Green Lantern movie, admitted that he'll be surprised if he gets imported into the cast of upcoming Justice League. "We, I think the Sinestro I did pretty much belongs to the world of the one, you know, we created, " he said in one interview. "And with a reboot I think it has to be a fresh broom, doesn't it? So I'm sure they'll go for a whole other look and whole other group of actors. I'd be very surprised if they imported my Sinestro from our one." He added.
With Justice League's release date still far away, it seems like Snyder is still concentrating in his upcoming film Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice which is scheduled for a 2016 release. Although it's not directly Justice League, fans should probably watch Batman vs Superman because it might bring more hints for the upcoming superhero league movie.
Justice League Part 1 is reportedly scheduled to be released on November 2017.
