New characters are about to plague "Outlander" season 2 when it returns in 2016. Recent reports about the newcomers include Rosie Days, Andrew Gower, and Dominique Piñon. Since Jamie and Claire are now in France, it is interesting to see how the new characters will affect their lives.
Just weeks after the talked about "Outlander" season 1 finale titled, "To Ransom a Man's Soul," reports about its second season started surfacing. Most of the official details about the sophomore season are about the new faces in "Outlander" season 2.
Entertainment Weekly recently reported the attachment of Rosie Days in the Bristish-American television drama. Day will be playing Mary Hawkins, the daughter of a minor baronet and the niece of the merchant Silas Hawkins. She is engaged to a French nobleman and struggles with a nervous stammer. Day's character finds herself being used as a pawn in the power plays of her elders.
Another character to enter Starz's hit series is Andrew Gower, who will portray Prince Charles Edward Stuart, as per Variety's report. "The Village" star, lived in the exile but has set his eyes to return to the throne.
Dominique Piñon also joins "Outlander" as Master Raymond, who is knowledgeable of both political and occult secret matters. Piñon's character will also form a special bond with Claire, played by Caitriona Balfe.
Another new comer who will work closely to the Frasers is Romann Berrux's Fergus. He is a young pickpocket whose loyalty to his cousin, Jamie, and to his wife is definite.
"Outlander" continues to be a gem for Starz, leading to the show's renewal for second season after the premiere of series' pilot episode, reports Cinemablend. During the show's first week, it was able to rake 5 million viewers, making Starz's decision to pursue season 2 an easy one.
Diehards of "Outlander" will see new faces on the show's second season set to return in 2016. Interesting characters will join Jamie and Claire as they take refuge in France but who among them will bring more problems to the couple?
