Persona 5 is getting some heat with its expected release date towards the end of the year. While the Atlus title has been going through delays in development, the people behind it are working very hard to deliver an extraordinary game to its fans. With the mysterious badge teasing either the said title or Catherine 2, anticipation for announcements in the E3 2015 is also at an exhilarating high.
One of the top heads in the creation of Persona 5, Katsura Hashino, had an interview with Gematsu where he apologized for the postponing of the title. In the report, he said, "I know it's been a long wait, but I hope you'll give us a little more time. Hopefully once it's out, it'll all be worth it in the end." He also adds, "We hope that with Persona 5, we'll be able to make a game where the events of it really hit home and make for really impactful experiences."
From this period of slowing down in producing Persona 5, Atlus has managed to share more scoop on the game recently. Aside from trailers and gameplay details, the official PS Japan website made a dedicated page for Persona 5. While some photos in the site are already familiar, the ones displayed are in greater quality, where fans can have a better appreciation of Soejima and Hashino's efforts.
With regard to the characters in the game, Hashino had a little more to say in his Gematsu interview. He goes, "The protagonists of Persona 5 themselves are on the run for doing what they think is right after something happens completely out of the blue. The mixture of thrills and no-so-larger-than-life cast of characters is what composes the idea of 'academy juveniles' for us."
An official release date for Persona 5 has yet to be announced. However, with the progress the game has been garnering, fans could very well set their expectations for something big from Atlus in the Electronic Entertainment Expo next week.
