‘The Following’ Season 4 Update: More scenes from Max and Mike if Netflix decides to pick up the show

Fans of "The Following" are still not giving up. Despite the cancellation, the show is still very much felt online as the supporters continue to clamor for a fourth season that will focus on Max and Mike. However, online streaming media have not yet picked up the criminal series.

Early in May, FOX has decided to cancel the Kevin Bacon-starrer even before its third season concluded. In 2013, "The Following" season 1 became a breakout hit series and finished as the highest rated new broadcast series in adults 18-49 but unfortunately, its second and third season failed to keep the strong momentum of the show.

Despite FOX's decision to not renew the show, possible plots for "The Following season 4" continues to surface online. An article from Hypable enumerates several reasons why the thriller drama should continue.

One of the reasons is to see more Max and Mike scenes and their lives after Ryan Hardy had gone rogue. Will they search for him? What would be their reaction when they find out that he's alive? Fans also would have wanted to see how Gwen will go through her pregnancy without Ryan and of course the introduction of a new villain of the show.

Diehards of the series remain optimistic that it will be picked up by another network or by digital platform but just recently, Hulu shut their doors on that possibility, reports Christian Today.

Whether or not "The Following" season 4 will come into fruition now relies heavily on Netflix, which has not released any statement regarding a possible revival.

"The Following" season 4 is still in the television series purgatory since there is still no indication that Netflix is interested to pick up the show. However, if the drama thriller will be given another season, fans would like to see what happens to the people that were left behind by Ryan Hardy, especially Gwen, Max and Mike.
