CD Projekt RED has confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt patch 1.06 is coming but no release date has been set as of yet. This update follows patch 1.04 received for PS4 and Xbox One, and Patch 1.05 for PC aimed to address the XP glitch and other major sidequests bugs and issues.
However, reports say that the patch has downgraded the game's visuals and it has reduced the quality of anisotropic filtering, anti-aliasing and draw distance. Players are wondering if the glitch is caused by the latest patch or not but one player commented that the quality of graphics has already been "downgraded" at patch 1.03.
CD Projekt RED community lead Marcin Momot has responded to the situation by saying:
"Nothing has been downgraded as of patch 1.04 on consoles. Nothing has been cut down or removed from the game. All assets/post-processes/features are still there."
Momot also assured that they are already working on the next patch 1.06 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt but there is no release time frame yet at the moment.
"We are already working on 1.06 but can't give you the exact time frame when it will become available. Rest assured, I will let you know once we are approaching its release," he said.
The Windows PC system requirements for this year's highly anticipated open-world role-playing game, as Polygon describes it, are "not for the faint of heart."
At minimum, PC system should be running in 64-bit Windows 7 or later with at least 40 GB of hard drive space. The processor should be at least has an Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 940. RAM should be at least 6 GB and the graphics card should be at least installed with Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7870.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt arrived to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC last month.
