Nintendo has some really good news. A new game in the Sonic Boom franchise is about to come to Nintendo 3DS this winter. We all remember the iconic 'blue blur,' Sonic the Hedgehog who will be joining us once again in "Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice." The game will come jam packed with more adventure, speed, exploration, and an all-new fire and ice gameplay element that will definitely upgrade your gaming experience.
On June 9, 2015, Nintendo of Europe and SEGA of Europe announced that they have entered into a new distribution agreement for the upcoming "Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice," which was scheduled for an exclusive release for the Nintendo 3DS.
According to John Cheng, President and COO, SEGA of America, "We really want this game to surprise and delight Sonic fans both new and old, and have created a unique, fun game that delivers." He said that, "By introducing unique elemental gameplay features like ice and fire, along with new speed and exploration gameplay, there is a lot to enjoy with Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice."
"Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice" will infuse fire and ice elements throughout the gameplay. This will enable new abilities to play out in special character moves and interactions with environments. The game will also feature the triumphant return of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Sticks. "Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice" is developed by Sanzaru Games Inc. and it is a single player game with combined gameplay modules that shares key characters, events, and many more.
The gameplay is designed to allow players to run through the game at top speed. They can also take their time exploring and focusing at puzzle play. One new feature is Bot Racing which is an extension of "Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice." It is about racing and speed, wherein a user will unravel character themed Bots.
"Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice" will be arriving this winter exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS across Europe.
