Just as when Sony officially announces its non-implementation of the USB Type-C to its flagship devices for this year, Samsung, on the other hand is beefing up its upcoming flagship unit, Galaxy Note 5, with bigger battery capacity, larger screen display, slimmer design, faster storage, and the recently implemented USB Type-C technology, among other features.
According to a report coming from Yugatech, the successor to Samsung's current phablet flagship, Galaxy Note 4, will feature a 4,100 mAh battery capacity in comparison to Galaxy Note 4's 3,220 mAh, a 5.89 inches display as opposed to the latter's 5.7 inches, a processor said to be powered by Exynos 7422 chip (a modified version of the same processor that is powering up Samsung Galaxy S6), faster than most flash storage with UFS 2.0, lesser thickness of 7.9mm, which is 0.6mm slimmer than Galaxy Note 4, and the first-time ever implementation of USB Type-C (unique to USB 3.1) as well as the Ultra HD, 4k display not seen from any of the previous and existing Samsung's flagship smartphone units.
Apart from the improved hardware specifications, it is the newly implemented added features namely the Ultra HD display and USB Type-C that are surely be Galaxy Note 5's selling factor, even beating others on the competition. Seeing Samsung gaining its ground again back to the top as the world's biggest smartphone manufacturer, making the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 a huge seller is not close to impossible.
Other noteworthy features unique to Samsung Galaxy Note 5 off the bat includes an improved stylus pen and a pre-installed Android 5.1.1 operating system. But seeing how up-to-date Samsung Galaxy Note 5's hardware specifications are, it is also more than likely for it to be upgradeable to either Android 5.2, should it get released any time after Galaxy Note 5 does, or be upgradeable to "Android M" when it was released sometime early next year.
As for the specific release date for Galaxy Note 5, rumors are strong that enthusiastic fans awaiting of its release are likely to get ahold of the unit anytime on the third quarter of this year, basically a few months from now.
