After nearly two decades without any "Dragon Ball" series on TV comes the most-awaited "Dragon Ball Super." A 14-second teaser trailer was released, which shows Goku and the rest of the gang, as they try to battle against a new enemy. The upcoming TV series is also expected to feature Gotenks.

The most-awaited "Dragon Ball Super" is returning to the small screens in July and fans are already raving for details of what they can expect in the highly anticipated series. It has been 18 years since the last Dragon Ball TV series "Dragon Ball GT" was released and fans were only shown a logo of the upcoming series when the show was announced earlier this year.

Now, fans have been given a sneak preview of what "Dragon Ball Super" holds for Goku, Majin Buu and the rest of the gang. The 14-second clip starts with the show's opening theme, Kazuya Yoshii's "Chozetsu Dynamic," Forbes reported.

A college-aged Goku enters the screen and welcomes the audience after 18 years of hiatus from television. The first TV footage of "Dragon Ball Super" also showed a glimpse of Majin Buu and others characters that were well loved in the previous "Dragon Ball" series.

"Dragon Ball Super" is expected to raise fan expectations, as creator Akira Toriyama is back on set. Meanwhile, Inquisitr cited that several reports claim that Gotenks (a fusion of Goten and Trunks) will be featured in the upcoming "Dragon Ball Z" sequel.

This rumor emerged following a released snippet of Masako Nozawa's voice work as Goten on "Shonen Jump" magazine, wherein Goten was heard saying, "Wow, we will still be able to merge a lot of times with Trunks."

A new villain is also expected to appear in "Dragon Ball Super" and some fans began speculating that Goku and Vegeta will be battling against a god, taking in cues from a previous Dragon Ball movie titled, "Battle of Gods."

"Dragon Ball Super" will be released on July 5 in Japan.
