Marvel Comics and Stephen King proudly revealed their collaboration for the next chapter of the bold epic "The Dark Tower" series. Coming in September, "The Dark Tower: The Drawing of the Three-The Lady of Shadows #1", the new comic book installment follows one of the series' most beloved characters, the Gunslinger Roland, in a continuation of the epic saga.
According to Comicosity, the new chapter of The Dark Tower series features Roland and Eddie Dean, a troubled young man who has the power to open portals to other worlds, and their journey to find the dark tower. Both characters are set to find Odetta Holmes, the third member of ka-tet and a civil rights activist from the South, in order to accomplish the said quest.
However, apart from the primary quest, Roland and Eddie also need to discover Odetta's dark secret -something that the characters will have to go back to the beginning to uncover.
Other than the newly announced comic book, another project based on King's works is also slated to be released soon -the long-gestating movie adaptation of "The Dark Tower" series. Nikolaj Arcel, a Danish filmmaker known for his directorial films "A Royal Affair", "Truth about Men" and "Island of Lost Souls", as well as his penned Swedish adaptation of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo", is reigned as the forthcoming film's adaptation.
Weed Road's Akiva Goldsman and Imagine Entertainment's Brian Grazer, Ron Howard and Erica Huggins is set to produce the film alongside King.
