Devil’s Third Release Date Confirmed in Japan and Europe August 28; US Launching Likely in Nintendo E3 Showcase, Trailer and Screenshots Leaked

By

Devil's Third is finally crawling out, albeit slowly, with announcing when it will be releasing in different countries. The Japan launch was first to be confirmed, with Europe being the next to receive the news. Avid gamers in North America, however, will have to be a bit more patient because a date has not been revealed yet. The proximity of the announcements, to be in August, though, point out that the Valhalla Game Studios' title would be arriving around the same time as well.

The most recent update on Devil's Third is that it is scheduled for release by August 28 in Europe. This was verified by a statement from Nintendo. Initially, it was Japan who was to see the title on August 4, without much news about other countries. Fortunately, fans of Tomonobu Itagaki's work will likely get the game in August also, if not a bit later than Japan and Europe.

The selling price is also another detail in the know. Devil's Third is being sold for 6,700 yen, which is already a good value as the title will feature an enhanced single and multiplayer look. This was exemplified through some footage of the game.

As mentioned by IGN, supporters of Devil's Third in North America should not fret because the E3 will definitely host a lot of announcements, which may very well include the release date for the said game.

While the date is not yet known, it is clear that Itagaki's work will be worth waiting for. He was the one to bring entries for Ninja Gaided as well as Dead or Alive. In the trailer of Devil's Third, he was featured in a scene where he was in a dark room, sitting on the floor while introducing aspects of the game.

As expected, the trailer was in Japanese; hence context clues were used by a game report to deduce certain aspects of the story - entailing the journey of Ivan, the hero covered in tattoos, in a "the-world-has-ended" setting.

Devil's Third will first come out in Japan on August 4, and will follow in Europe on August 28. A release date for North America and the rest of the world have yet to be announced by Nintendo and Valhalla Game Studios.
