"Hearthstone" will be having a huge update which will be out later this month. The newest "Hearthstone" Patch 2.7 will include a new mode as well and it's titled the "Tavern Brawl." This new mode brings with it new features and it is free to all players.
The newest "Tavern Brawl" mode allows the players to engage in combat with custom rules as reported by IGN. However, the rules will be different every week until the next extension pack, so it's really exciting. With this mode players can go up against strangers or challenge a friend to a Brawl.
Blizzard reveals that "One week might feature preset decks, while another week could have you crafting a brand new Tavern Brawl deck following specific guidelines, while others might offer buffs to specific minion types-who knows!"
Keep in mind that you would have to reach level 20 to take partake in the Brawls according to Shacknews. The good news is that the first Brawl entry will be free, and with your first win, you'll be rewarded with a free card pack. Additionally, the new extension pack will introduce two new Hearthstone Heroes. These new Heroes won't feature any new abilities or cards but they will have their own unique appearance, sounds and animations.
Joining Magni Bronzebeard, the previously announced hero for the Warrior class, will be a new Mage and Hunter. Indeed, Patch 2.7 is focused entirely on delivering well these new features. The developers recently clarified on social media that there won't be any balance changes or new cards.
"Tavern Brawl" is expected to launch sometime in mid-June. Once again, "Tavern Brawl" will be free upon the mode's launch and players will have the chance to earn free card packs when they win their first game of the week, as a celebration of the launching. Also, the offer will stand through the next few Brawl events.
"Hearthstone" is a free-to-play collectible card game that was based on Blizzard's World of Warcraft property.
