Microsoft 640, 640 XL Coming to an AT&T, T-Mobile Shop and Already Available via Cricket Wireless

The coming end of the month is looking promising to Microsoft fans who wanted to get ahold of any of the new Windows phone models when subscribed to AT&T. Sometime later this month, AT&T will be offering both the Microsoft 640 and Microsoft 640 XL to its subscribers.

In accordance to the report by a Lumia representative as spoken to WinSuperSite, the Microsoft 640 will not be released at the same time with Microsoft 640 XL. As early as next week, the Microsoft 640 is expected for its release with a price tag ranging from $100 to $150 and will be the first among two to receive a Windows 10 update. This is followed by the XL variant coming in at $200 to $250 price tag, almost twice the price as the Microsoft 640.

As early as now, however, eager fans of the Microsoft smartphones can get their hands on their own unit by getting it through Cricket Wireless at a price tag of $129.99 without contract, still within the price range as expected. Only the cyan version is said to be available to date.

Apparently, there is more than a good reason to get yourself a Microsoft 640 unit before the end of June as Microsoft is offering a freebie with its early purchase - a 1-year subscription to the Office 365 which normally comes at a price tag of $69.99.

On the other hand, those who wanted to get it via T-Mobile may have to wait until June 17th, a day not too far off from now, for a hands-on experience of the unit. In the end, both the Microsoft 640 and Microsoft 640 XL units will be made available late this month.

With a release date just some days from now, there's already a lot of verified information regarding these upcoming units from Microsoft. The Microsoft 640 unit will feature a 5-inch screen, quad-core snapdragon 400 CPU, Adreno 305 GPU, 1 Gb RAM, and an 8 Gb ROM, however is expandable to as much as 128 Gb with a micro-SD card. As for the camera, it will come with an 8 MP and 0.9 MP quality on both back and front, respectively. It is also powered by a 2500 mAh battery capacity.

Basically both Microsoft 640 and Microsoft 640 XL having an almost the same specifications, the Microsoft 640 XL unit is superior with a 5.7 inches screen, a rear camera of 13 MP, a front camera of 5 MP, and a 3000 mAh battery capacity.
