Of course, its early Christmas for last-gen console PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners. For the game that has sold over 175 million copies and has topped $10 billion since its release in 2011 would be for their uninterrupted entertainment.
In its official blog, Activision managed the expectations of millions of its fans. The American video game publisher spilled the beans announcing that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will not be available for the Nintendo's Wii U platform. Rather the latest iteration of this first-person video game franchise will make it to new-gen consoles Sony's PS4 and Xbox One.

Among many other differences limited by hardware.
In Activision's own words: "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 has been designed to harness the full potential of the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. However, we know that there are still some fans that haven't made the transition to the new console hardware, which is why we're happy to share that we're working with developers Beenox and Mercenary Technology on Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3."
