Looks like the 'Transformers' movie franchise got big loots, because there will be an upcoming 'Transformers 5' live action movie in 2017, featuring Optimus Prime's journey to the outer space. Also, there are talks about a Bumblebee spin-off.

Paramount Pictures is planning to make spin-off films, and with this it has build a powerful team to start with. Akiva Goldsman will be the lead writer, along with 'The Walking Dead' creator Robert Kirkman. Also, joining them are Jeff Pinkner (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man), Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari (Ant-Man) and Zak Penn (X-Men: The Last Stand and The Incredible Hulk).

If the 'Transformers 5' will be based on its animation series, Optimus Prime selected Ultra Magnus to take charge of the Autobots on Earth, because Optimus Prime will have to go to the space to go face the Creators. According to Gospel Herald via ibtimes.co.uk, two Decepticons will be introduced in the fifth installment of the 'Transformers,' Cyclonus and Scourge.

The latest buzz about Bumblebee is that he may get his own movie, and that's according to the chief executive of Hasbro, Brian Goldner. "As we go forward, we would imagine several more Transformers movies. Not just in the current lineage but also spin-offs and focusing on certain key characters that are beloved by the world over. Many of you know Bumblebee; the yellow Camaro... formally known as a yellow VW Bug. He is a beloved character by kids all over the world. We could see stories told around Bumblebee and other characters. We are in a process of building the brand equity around the comic book business, our TV business, our digital gaming business and adding to that our new movie business of Transformers," Goldner said during in an interview with TFW2005.com.

Meanwhile, Mark Wahlberg, the lead character in last year's 'Transformer: Age of Extinction' looks like he is not sure if he comes back for the fifth installment of the movie franchise. According to Cinema Blend, Wahlberg is busy now with some movie projects. And when asked if he would return in 'Transformers 5,' he only said "We'll see, we'll see down the road."
