Super Smash Bros. gets new DLC - and it's not just one fighter, but a lot of other characters and a few more feature upgrades. A video presentation dedicated to the Nintendo title showcased the various content that would be coming to fans' ways.

Masahiro Sakurai, the game director, proudly delivered two new characters, major updates on software, as well as a host of costumes and stages. Certainly, this adds a lot of variety in the gameplay. Nonetheless, players should realize that the DLCs do not end here so they still have a chance to pitch in their own ideas.

Both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U will be receiving the updates for Super Smash Bros should owners of the game decide to get them. As announced by the Executive VP of Marketing and Sales of Nintendo America, Scott Moffitt, the title continues to evolve with big and unpredictable content. On the main website of the publisher, his words read, "We're offering multiple price options and bundles for all this outstanding new content, so players can mix and match whatever characters, stages and costumes they want."

For the very first time in the history of Super Smash Bros., a Street Fighter character joins the roster of playable units by the name of Ryu, no less. The said addition will be able to execute Light, Medium, and Heavy moves based on how the player would maneuver his controller.

Popular attacks such as the Shoryuken and Hadoken can be delivered through the press of a single button. Those who have true experience in the Street Fighter series and manage to perform the original combinations of the buttons will bring about higher damage to the opponent.

While it was also just a rumor in the past, Fire Emblem's Roy also joins in. Being an expert with the sword, he can do great damage through close range attacks. Using the Final Smash skill will really give the enemy a taste of what the character can do.

The two characters, however, do not go by the same price. Street Fighter's Ryu is sold for $5.99 for each of the Nintendo consoles, and $6.99 for both. On the other hand, Roy goes a bit lower are $3.99 for each platform, and $4.99 for the two.

Super Smash Bros. gets new DLC and a lot of other great things. Fans of the franchise can submit their suggestions to Nintendo, with entries being accepted until October. There are plenty of other possibilities that could happen in the game so fans should make sure to read up on announcements whenever a new one arrives.
