Andrew Getty is the grandson of oil tycoon J.Paul Getty and is next in line accumulating the Getty Oil if not because of his death. He reportedly suffered and died because of ulcer-gastrointestinal hemorrhage in his mansion situated in Los Angeles, California. The autopsy report showed that he also had a toxic level methamphetamine in his body that was also considered as a main contributing factor of his death. The oil heir died at age 47 on March 31, 2015.

International Business Times reported that the oil heir was found dead by his girlfriend, Lanessa DeJong in the bathroom. She also informed the authorities that Andrew Getty has a drug addiction. With this information, it was also then cleared that Andrew Getty's death was accidental and there is no any foul play involved. Autopsy finding showcase that the oil heir suffered to an ulcer and gastrointestinal hemorrhage resulting to his death thus under the influence of an illegal drug consumption that played a great role for his bereavement.

US Magazine also confirmed that Andrew Getty was under the influence of meth when he died. J. Paul Getty's grandson was subject of alleged illegal methamphetamine usage. According to Coroner's various reports, the investigators' also looked on Andrew Getty's personal possessions and found a suspicious text messages on his cell phone trying to purchase the said drug.

Additional reports from Huffington Post has shown that Andrew Getty's body was found full of blood in his home's bathroom. Also, a lot of illegal drugs and paraphernalia have also discovered in his residence during the investigation and therefore conclude that his death was purely accidental and main caused was his gastrointestinal complications, heart attack and toxins in his body by illegal drug consumption.

The Los Angeles County coroner's report has finalized all investigations and findings regarding Andrew Getty's death along with his girlfriend and selected staffs' statements. In further reports, the oil heir's personal assistant has also confirmed that he frequently suffered stomach aches prior to his untimely death.
