"Daddy’s Home" Brand New Trailer Released; Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg Compete for the role of Best Dad

By

Paramount Pictures released the trailer of "Daddy's Home," starring the comical duo-Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, as a form of grand gesture in light of the celebration of Father's Day.

The two-minute, thirty second trailer starts off with a regular guy taking on the reigns of being the ultimate family man. However, everything flipped the moment the unreasonable but original dad comes into the picture and changes everything. The featured clips include having them battle each other during bed time, in the basketball court and so much more.

"Daddy's Home" unfolds in a modern day set - up where stepfather Brad, played by Will Ferrell, and the real father, played by Mark Wahlberg, compete for the role of the best dad ever. In a twisted but very realistic post-divorce set-up, Ferrell plays the step dad who works hard to provide the greens and offer support to the family. Meanwhile, Wahlberg is the freeloading dad who already holds the heart of his very own kids.

The film is packed with comedic antics brought by the artistic duo who starred in the cop comedy-"The Other Guys." Mark Wahlberg might have more serious-ridden movies compared to the likes of Will Ferrell but he knows and claims that he's in good hands, based on the feature by Cinema Blend.

The father-centric comedy is directed by Sean Anders and John Morris. They are the same behind-the-scenes comedic duo who worked together for the films "Horrible Bosses" and "We're the Millers."

The script was created by Brian Burns and was revised by the directors, along with Chris Henchy, Etan Cohen and Adam McKay. Will Ferrell, Chris Henchy and Adam McKay are producing the film together under Gary Sanchez Productions. Executive producing are the trio of Red Granite Pictures-David Koplan, Joey McFarland and Riza Aziz.

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg have left the cop domain and entered the suburban household for their latest movie collaboration. The question is, will they be able to maintain their comedic audacity? Find out when "Daddy's Home" opens in movie houses on Christmas Eve of this year-December 25, 2015.
