Titanfall 2 might be seeing a later release date than fans would have hoped. Despite the inclusion of the original game in EA Access during E3 week, the next title will not be releasing this year or in the span of the 2016 fiscal year.
While EA decided to delay a title supported by a lot of fans, it is clear that it still has a lot of other games to focus on as opposed to forcing everything to be finished right away, which can be a compromise. For one thing, Star Wars: Battlefront is one of the games that the publisher is focusing on.
As previously reported on this news site, Blake Jorgensen, the Chief Financial Officer of EA, announced that Titanfall 2 will not be released in the 2016 fiscal year. He said that "it's more likely in fiscal '17," hence, a far and wide release window will be from April 2016 up until March 2017.
In another news report, it was noted that EA Access included two famous titles for avid gamers to experience. These would be Titanfall as well as Dragon Age Inquisition. The said games were featured in the special promo during the week of E3 2015, where even those who have the Xbox Live Gold account would be able to get inside the titles in EA Access even if they haven't signed up for that week.
Despite the delay in Titanfall 2, it has already been confirmed that the Respawn Entertainment title is already in development. As revealed by Vince Zampella, the game Studio Head in a recent report, the title will be a multiplatform game, supporting Xbox One, PC and the PS4. Nonetheless, there are still single-player elements to the game.
At the same time, comments from fans are being heard out in shaping how the game would be. For one thing, comments leaning on wanting more of the campaign features than multiplayer experience are greatly being put into consideration.
Gamers will have to keep themselves alert for more updates on Titanfall 2 as it is still facing long road for the completion of its development. The release window for PC and current gen consoles would likely be within April 2016 to March 2017. In the meantime, other EA titles to look out for would be Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, Mirror's Edge 2, as well as Need for Speed: No Limits.
