Kingdom Hearts 3 will be a very interesting turn in the face of the Square Enix franchise as the game director admitted that the team was not planning on releasing the title for current generation consoles.
However, when the PS4 and the Xbox One started coming about, the developer had to think about using the technology of these platforms to bring forth an exciting experience for the fans. With the gameplay trailer that was recently revealed as well as sharing from an interview with Tetsuya Nomura, there are a lot of intriguing facts to uncover and learn.
Kingdom Hearts 3 will be worth the wait for a lot of gamers who have exhausted KH2 since its launch back in 2005. From the biggest gaming event of the year, the E3, a new trailer for the title has been shown. According to AttackOfTheFanBoy, it showcased different attacks as well as the Tangled scheme of the world. Another thing to be noted is that QTEs (quick time events) would no longer be coming back.
Tetsuya Nomura, who is the game director of Kingdom Hearts 3, was interviewed on the matter of the consoles he intends to release the game to. He said, "To be honest, it was not... When the time came that we were ready and able to begin... the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One had just been introduced, so the best decision for us was to develop KH3 for the new consoles."
In another report, Nomura also had some other things to comment on about the trailer. He shares, "You were able to see... how Sora's movement in general is a lot more mobile and he's active in combat." Through the Attraction Flow mechanic, Sora's Keyblade will undergo changes to make offenses based on the rides of the theme park.
There are still plenty of information to dig in and wait on about Kingdom Hearts 3, like that of the release date. Little by little, details are being known, but fans of the franchise should look forward to the D23 event this August as this may mark a big moment for the title.
