'Boruto: Naruto the Movie': Six Additional Cast Members Revealed; Movie Slated for An August 7 Japanese Premiere

The highly anticipated "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" is already nearing its August 7 premiere. With a little more than a month before it hits the big screen, a few of its cast members have been revealed, including Ryūichi Kijima, Atsushi Abe, Saori Hayami, Kensho Ono, Daisuke Namikawa, and Hiroki Yasumoto.

Following the revelation of its official poster last week, additional details regarding the cast of "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" have been unveiled recently. Six more members have been added to its list of cast including Ryuichi Kijima who, according to Anime News Network, is playing the character of Boruto and Sarada's ninja ally, Mitsuki; Atsushi Abe as Sai and Ino's son, Inojin Yamanaka; and Saori Hayami as Naruto and Hinata's daughter, Himawari Uzumaki.

Joining them are Hiroki Yasumoto as Kinshiki, the obedient subordinate of the mysterious man Momoshiki; Kensho Ono as Shikadai Nara, the son of Shikamaru and Temari; and Daisuke Namikawa as Momoshiki, the mysterious man who launched a surprise attack on the Hidden Leaf Village.

The mentioned newbies will be joining Yuko Senpai as Boruto, Kokoro Kikuchi as Sarada with returnees Junko Takeuchi as Naruto Uzumaki, and Noriaki Sugiyama as Sasuke Uchiha, as previously reported.

Meanwhile, a cover art was shared by Weekly Shonen Jump which features a new tagline for the upcoming movie. As per iDigital Times's report, the text in the new visual reads "The curtain rises on the legend that will surpass all!!" while the second one says "Transcend the legend. Take the reins of the new era."

"Boruto: Naruto the Movie" will follow Naruto's son, Boruto and his action-packed journey in surpassing his father's deeds. The series' creator and film's chief production officer, Masashi Kishimoto, has reportedly handled the sequel's original story, character designs and script which he collaborated with Ukyo Kodachi of "Chaos Dragon" and "Neppu Kairiku Bushi Road" for the completion of the script.

Directed by Hiroyuki Yamashita, "Naruto Shippuden" episode and "Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie" helmer, "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" is slated to hit Japanese theaters on August 7. The movie will also make its way to non-Japanese cinemas later this year.
