Microsoft has a new Xbox One-related promotion, and this time, the company is offering one free game together with the purchase of their latest console.
It's a limited time offer that started on the 21st and will end by the 27th, according to CNet.The specifics of the offer are simple. People who will purchase either an Xbox One 500GB console or the newer Xbox One 1TB console from either Microsoft, Amazon, or Best Buy can then choose one game to take home for free.
Microsoft is not kidding around with the offer, as the games they are offering for free include some of the biggest titles currently out on the market. The list of games that can come free together with the purchase of a new Xbox One include Batman: Arkham Knight, The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Grand Theft Auto V, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, and plenty of other well-known titles, according to Tech Times.
There's a more extensive list detailing all of the titles included in the new promotion on the websites of both Amazon and Best Buy.
The free games new Xbox One owners will receive are all disc-based titles.
Microsoft has been known to have free game promotions in the past, and considering the timing of the announcement, it's not a surprise to see the company pulling out the big guns now.
Unfortunately, Microsoft has also run into a bit of a problem as of late.
According to Venture Beat, Xbox Live went down recently for both Xbox One and 360 owners. Some users said they were unable to log-in to their accounts because of the issue.
Xbox Live going down for a bit is not a big issue in the grand scheme of things, but with both Sony and Microsoft going head to head in the wake of E3, it certainly doesn't help the latter's cause.
