Dragon Ball Super Spoilers: Beerus appears in the first chapter of the manga; Shanpa is the new villain?

Fans who are eagerly excited for the ew anime series Dragon Ball Super and want to know more before its premiere, here's some plot spoilers, character updates and more exciting details to add fuel to the excitement.

Dragon Ball Super is set a few years after the defeat Majin Buu, when the world is peaceful once again. The official website of Dragon Ball Super released a promo art for the upcoming anime series. Not only did the promo art reveals old characters that will be part of the show, it also showcases a new character.

The new character is said to be Shanpa. Shanpa looks like a larger version of Dragon Ball villain Beerus. He looks like a big purple cat.

Beerus was a villain who was first introduced in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and most recently Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F. It is also revealed recently that Dragon Ball Super will be connected to the latest Dragon Ball movie.

According to iDigitalTimes, Shanpa's name, like the villains Beerus and Whis, is inspired from an alcoholic beverage which is champagne.

Aside from the looks of Shanpa and his name, there is little known to the importance of the character in Dragon Ball Super. But with its resemblance to the villains, it could be safe to assume that he is a new villain in Dragon Ball Super.

So far, the details of the new Dragon Ball series is that it constitutes 100 episodes, although, this detail has not been confirmed by the official Japanese site of the series. There might be a slight chance that could this be wrong or altered.

The first episode's synopsis reads as follows:

"After defeating Majin Buu, life is peaceful once again. Ordered by Chi-chi to earn money, Goku works even as he wants to train even more. Meanwhile, Goten, about to become a brother-in-law to Videl, sets out on a journey with Trunks to find her a present."

Dragon Ball Super manga has been released in Japan and it reveals that Beerus will be back so that the "Super Saiyan God" will be able to entertain him. It seems that this will lead to the Battle of the Gods movie.

Dragon Ball Super will start airing on Fuji TV in July 5 every 9am. Fans are excited to go Super Saiyan and be part of the Dragon Ball search.
