‘Beauty and the Beast’ live action movie update: Josh Gad dances like a lunatic for 2 days; How crazy will the dances be in the film?

By

TV, film and theatre actor Josh Gad shared on Twitter that he had to dance like a lunatic while on the shoot of "Beauty and the Beast" live action movie. This gave followers a hint that the musical remake may have some crazy dancing scenes.

Josh Gad once again shared an update straight from the set of "Beauty and the Beast" on Tuesday which is currently in the United Kingdom. The actor seemed to be enjoying a dancing scene.

"Danced like a lunatic for 2 days straight. @TheRealLukevans thank u 4 being an amazing partner & Epsom salts, thank u 4 being my best friend," he tweeted.

Gad portrays the character of Lefou, the sidekick of Luke Evans who plays the antagonist Gaston. The latter has feelings for Belle. The dancing must have been that crazy that Gad had to take Epson Salt which is known to relieve pain and stress. Gad did not indicate though if he was referring to Gaston as his dancing partner or as his "partner in crime". This however would give viewers a hint that the singing performances will be accompanied with dances that could be out of the ordinary.

It can be remembered in the Beauty and the Beast animated film in 1991, there was a dancing scene involving Belle and the Beast and some other characters. Although almost all of the characters had a singing part, the dances were not that given much attention. Gad's post therefore gives fans an idea that there could be changes in the animation adaptation unless he meant "dancing like a lunatic" as a figure of speech.

Based on Disney's previous "Beauty and the Beast" movie, the closest singing and dancing part of Gaston and Le Fou shows Le Fou doing some twirling and singing while Gaston was most of the time seated while singing.

Josh Gad has appeared in a leading role in Broadway's "The Brook" of Mormon. Broadway World reports that he was also casted in a number of movies as well as TV series such as FX's "The Comedians".

The singing and dancing scenes are definitely one of the best to look forward to in Disney movies, more so with this tale as old as time "Beauty and the Beast".
