Nina Dobrev and Austin Stowell are now fueling those dating rumors because of their PDA. The Vampire Diaries star might have just moved on from her heartbreak over longtime boyfriend Ian Somerhalder.
Inquisitr reports that, according to their source, Austin Stowell was constantly by Nina Dobrev's side. Eyewitnesses also claimed that Stowell "seemed absolutley smitten over Dobrev". The two were spotted enjoying each other's company while filming on location for Dobrev's newest film, The Final Girls.
"He called Nina 'babe' and gently put an arm around her waist," an eyewitness said.
Reports say that Nina introduced Stowell as her boyfriend during an event. While Nina seems to have moved on, it seems that Ian Somerhalder has some jealousy issues over Nina's new beau. It was reported that Ian had unfollowed Nina on Twitter due to some jealousy issues. However, Nina was quick to address the rumors.
"I love him and the friendship is still strong and I think he's great and I care about him. And that didn't change. Yes, we're professional and that's fine. We were friends long before we dated and we still are now," said Dobrev in an interview with E! News.
A report with International Business Times says that it was Nikki Reed who seemed upset about the former couple's friendship. The rumors circulated that Nikki was still insecure over the friendship the pair still share. Could she be the reason why Ian unfollowed Nina?
According to Fashion & Style, The Vampire Diaries star has kept silent over her relationship status since her traumautic and highly publicized relationship with longtime love Ian Somerhalder. While the two had kept things civil while working on set for the Vampire Diaries, things turned awkward when Ian was dating Nikki Reed. Rumors even sparked of confrontations between the two. It was even said that Nikki and Ian's wedding was the reason why Nina was leaving the show.
Nina still maintains that she and Ian are "on friendly terms" and that she thought the wedding was beautiful.
