'Ant-Man' Update: Seven New Characters Posters Revealed; Film To Open July 17

With less than month left before the live-action adaptation of "Ant-Man" hits the big screen this July 17, Marvel continues to boost the campaign for the pint-size hero's solo film. On Wednesday, the company has revealed seven new posters for the upcoming superhero flick, featuring its main characters: Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Michael Peña, T.I., and Bobby Cannavale.

If the tiny superhero has stepped into the Avengers' iconic arms in his previous posters; this time, Ant-Man is already sitting on the shoulders of the movie's seven main characters. The new visuals for the upcoming film were released by Entertainment Weekly together with a brand new TV spot. This continues Marvel's promotion for its new live-action adaptation, following the box-office topper "Avengers: Age of Ultron" last April.

Accroding to Slash Film, two posters from Marvel's international team were also released. The first one which features Cassie Lang and her shrunken superhero father is slated for Japanese theaters, while the other which shows a full-sized Scott Lang dealing with a miniature Yellowjacket is for French cinemas.

As previously reported, Marvel's "Ant-Man" stars Paul Rudd ("This is 40", "They Came Together"), Evangeline Lilly ("LOST," "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies"), Corey Stoll ("This is Where I Leave You", "Non-Stop") and Michael Douglas ("The Game", "And So It Goes"). Judy Greer ("Archer," "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes"), Martin Donovan ("Inherent Vice", "Insomnia"), John Slattery ("Mad Men," " Iron Man 2"), Bobby Cannavale ("Chef"," Blue Jasmine"), Abby Ryder Fortson ("Togetherness," "The Whispers"), Wood Harris ("Dredd","Remember the Titans"),Gregg Turkington ("Gravity Falls," "The Comedy"),David Dastmalchian ("The Dark Knight","Prisoners"), Michael Pena ("End of Watch", "Fury"), and T.I. ("Takers", "House of Lies") will also star in the upcoming movie.

Based on a screenplay written by Edgar Wright, Joe Cornish, Paul Rudd and Adam McKay, the Peyton Reed-helmed "Ant-Man" is scheduled to open in cinemas on July 17.
