A Super Smash Bros. 4 glitch has been detected on a number of characters, which will soon be fixed through an upcoming update from Nintendo. Characters such as Captain Falcon, Ryu, and even Pac-Man, end up being able to execute infinite combos, which put other players at a disadvantage because they would receive major damage right away.
When it comes to Captain Falcon in Super Smash Bros., the combo involves his Lightning Falcon Kick, which would require proper timing to jump on top of the enemy's head. All of the characters in the roster may be affected, although there would be variations in the set up as well as the timing. As it has been reported in a games article, a number of players would be knocked out completely through this infinite combo. These would be Lucas, Olimar, Game and Watch, Ness, as well as Lucario.
On the other hand, a glitch was also seen in the Focus attack of Ryu. An even more deadly maneuver would be Pac-Man's ability to create a hole on the stage. As reported in Kotaku, this special troll move was even given the nickname, "trampoline stage drop." In order to do this, pressing "up-b" would produce a trampoline type of device. Pac-Man can use this to execute higher jumps; but when another player would step on it, just as when Pac-Man makes a new trampoline, the old one would vanish.
In the past when Mewtwo was released as a DLC, Nintendo took the necessary measures to fix detected bugs through the 1.0.7 update. The release of Ryu, one of the characters with the infinite combo glitch, was just made available last June 14, so fixes may already be coming soon.
The Super Smash Bros. 4 glitch would likely be filed as one of the bugs in the 1.0.9 update for the game. Fans of the franchise should wait for an official announcement from Nintendo about other fixes and enhancements to be made on the current title.
