Channing Tatum says Gambit movie will be different; Actor open to the possibility of showing dancing skills

By

Channing Tatum, who will produce and take on the titular role of the "Gambit" movie assures that they will make the X-men spin-off unique. The superhero has skills and characteristics that will make "Gambit" not the usual comic book movie. Tatum also says he is not closing doors on the suggestion that he add some Magic Mike dancing moves.

FRESH TAKE

While Gambit is not that well known among the X-men superheroes, Channing Tatum says now is the time for viewers to get to know more about him, reports Yahoo. Gambit has already appeared in "X-men Origins: Wolverine" in 2009 played by Taylor Kitsch.

Tatum however emphasized that the "Gambit" movie will not be the typical superhero movie compared to other characters in the Marvel universe that also made a name of its own. The actor-producer says they are already in the early stages of planning. He already has something in mind and hopes he and director Rupert Wyatt are thinking of the same thing---for the movie to be something new.

When asked about the possibility of incorporating Magic Mike's dancing skills to add diversity to the movie, Tatum gives a laugh but says he is open to the idea and to the thought that "Gambit" could be set in the present time. This is aside from the fact that Gambit himself is already one of a kind.

GETTING TO KNOW GAMBIT

Aside from his thick Cajun accent and dark past, Gambit also known as Remy LeBeau, is good at throwing cards and doing bo staff, a kind of martial art. Comic Book Resources says Gambit is also gifted with bio-kinetic energy as well as superhuman speed and agility.

Meanwhile, Youth Health Magazine confirms that Joshua Zetumer (RoboCop) will write the screenplay. Channing Tatum earlier described his first draft as a "killer."

With a promising cast and crew in tow, Gambit will surely offer a different take as it debuts on October 7, 2016.
