The "Black Panther" movie will showcase the said African-American superhero who is described to be a diverse hero compared to other protagonists in most comic books. Afrian-American Director Ava DuVernay may or may do the said Marvel-adapted movie.
POSSIBLE PLOT
T' Challa, also known as the Black Panther, is the leader of an African nation which makes it something different from the usual history of Marvel comics superheroes. Black Panther will be the first African-American Marvel Superhero to appear in a movie which will be something new to offer in the superhero movie world. Chadwick Boseman plays the character.
Movie Pilot describes Black Panther as an intelligent and rich political leader. Based on the Marvel comics, the Black Panther was a title given to the rulers of the fictional city of Wakanda. T' Challa, who takes over the reign, was raised by his father after his mother died while giving birth to him. Ulysses kills T'Challa's father while on the search for vibranium, the world's strongest metal which the city is said to be rich in. Meanwhile, when T'Challa becomes the Black Panther, he also avenges for his father's death while having additional powers such as being strong and fast. The antagonist in the upcoming "Black Panther" movie Klaw and the setting of Wakanda city have appeared in "The Avengers: Age of Ultron".
AFRICAN-AMERICAN THEME
Black Panther will also make an appearance in Captain America" Civil War in 2016, before its stand alone movie. In fact, Cinemablend reports that Black Panther's costume will be made of vibranium which is said to be the same material which Captain America's shield is made of.
Meanwhile, African-American Director Ava DuVernay may or may not direct "Black Panther". DuVernay, who did the award-winning "Selma", was quoted by Inquistr as saying that she may be doing a Marvel film this time. She has done another Marvel movie, Spiderman 2, in the past though. The report said that DuVernay might do either "Black Panther" or Captain Marvel, or both.
It was earlier reported that Marvel is looking for an African-American director for "Black Panther" and a female director for "Captain Marvel". Black Panther is set for a 2018 release.
