Spider Man Reboot is still years away before it is released in the silver screen. As pre-production is already on the way, four young actors are candidates for the lead role in the upcoming remake. Whoever will portray as Peter Parker will join the battle in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War movie.
4 CONTENDERS
Sony and Marvel are set to announce in a few days on who will play as Peter Parker in the Spiderman remake. International Business Times reports that among the contenders are Tom Holland, Charlie Rowe, Matthew Lintz and Charlie Plummer. Asa Butterfield is no longer in the running.
It was also said that Sony prefers Holland while Marvel's favourite is Plummer which means the two companies will have to decide on their final choice. Whoever will be picked will get to appear first in Captain America: Civil War which will be released next year. Before the Spiderman reboot is shown in July 28, 2017, Spiderman is expected to have an important role in the former movie.
SPIDEY IN CAPTAIN AMERICA
Another report of the same source says Holland was seen in Atlanta where the Captain America movie is currently being shot which made others suspect that he must have been chosen for the Spiderman role. However, it clarified that the auditions for the Peter Parker role was also done on the same location.
No official title yet has been released for the Spiderman remake. A lot of movies have been made about Spiderman and there is still no information yet as to what the story will be or how this would differ with the previous ones. There is also no word yet on who will portray as Spidey's enemy.
Meanwhile, Chandler Riggs, who was among those who auditioned for the role a few months ago, has confirmed that he did not get the role. People says Riggs, who plays Carl Grimes in The Walking Dead, wished the best of luck to whoever will be chosen to play the role of Spiderman.
