B.A.P members Yongguk and Zelo, amidst the group's absence in the K-Pop industry since the group's ongoing lawsuit proceedings of last year of November, released tracks containing lyrical substance speculated to be addressed to their former agency, TS Entertainment.
Group leader Bang Yongguk dropped the music video for "AM 4:44" on April fourth, whose track is also available on his Soundcloud account under the username "Bangxter."
The song is a rhythmic rap that goes well with the rapper's low and deep voice that exudes maturity along with the easy-going-melody. However, what captivated the fans the most is the subject matter.
The track holds distinct emotion with a quality message addressing his and B.A.P's struggles with their company whom they are in dispute with at the present.
The members showed their support through their various SNS posts to cheer their leader on.
Youngjae linked the music video in his tweet and captioned it "#Message #respect." Daehyun agreed with Yongguk's posts ceaselessly retweeting each of them and even added a caption saying, "A song you can't help but listen to."
Meanwhile on May 22nd, their youngest member and B.A.P's lead rapper Zelo also released a track that he previously announced to come out before his coming of age.
The track "No-Title" perfectly showcased the young rapper's skills that fans have been missing. The song delivers a message about the cruelty of the industry, and the dishonesty and discourtesy of the adults that as a growing man he wouldn't want to follow, and instead he would set as a good example by doing what he knows is right.
Although it was not explicitly pointing to their former agency TS Entertainment, most of the audience who has witnessed the group's disagreements with the company speculated that the song intends to challenge the said company to reveal the truth on their ongoing lawsuit with the verses "Hoping for the truth is my true hope", "Show the original copy and if you feel guilty go hide and catch your breath", and "Why do a couple sheets of paper make you treat truth like a grave?"
B.A.P, a South Korean Hip Hop boy group, held a total of 23 concerts in cities throughout the United States, Asia, Australia, and Europe for their "B.A.P Live on Earth 2014 Continent Tour" and had also traveled to 19 different countries and cities in a span of three months to complete a murderous schedule.
Within the two years of their career, they have released one studio album, three mini albums, four single albums, and 18 singles and music videos.
Due to their busy schedule, the members suffered from mental and bodily fatigue, and atop of that, there was allegedly no disclosure on the payment or terms and conditions of the concerts they've fulfilled.
The six members of B.A.P altogether filed a lawsuit to nullify their contract and have held their first court trial on March 13th of this year against TS Entertainment. The tracks produced by Yongguk and Zelo were both released during the group's on-going dispute with the company.
