‘Iron Man 4’ Update: Movie pushed back after MCU Phase 3; Robert Duvall advices Robert Downey Jr not to give up role

By

It has been 2 years already since the last installment of "Iron Man" was released and it looks like it will take a while before the superhero will make its way to the big screen once again. It might be discouraging for some, especially to the lead actor himself, to wait for a few more years. However, Hollywood veteran actor Robert Duvall thinks that Robert Downey Jr. should not give up the role when Marvel gives the go-signal for "Iron Man 4" in the future.

Robert Downey Jr.'s "Judge" co-star, Robert Duvall, has given the Iron Man actor an advice regarding his iconic role in one of Marvel's superhero franchises. According to Master Herald, the 84-year-old veteran actor said in a recent interview that Downey should hold on to the Tony Stark and Iron Man role as those made him the highest paid actor in Hollywood.

Forbes has listed Robert Downey Jr as one of the highest paid celebrities this 2015. Rumor has it that the main reason why "Iron Man 4" was pushed back after MCU Phase 3 was due to Downey's demand of getting a higher pay. It was noted before that his fee for "Avengers" has reached to $50 million -the same amount he received for his appearance in "Iron Man 3". These franchises had a major contribution to him being Forbes' highest paid actor in 2014, wherein he reportedly earned a total of $75 million.

It is believed that whatever price Downey asks for the fourth installment of the franchise, Marvel Studios will surely give in considering that his last solo movie "Iron Man 3" became the seventh highest-grossing film of all time with its worldwide box office haul of $1.22 billion.

With that said, the franchises only concern is the oversaturation of Iron Man's appearance since he stars in almost every upcoming Marvel films slated in 2014 to 2019. No exact word has been given yet regarding the release date of 'Iron Man 4'. What is confirmed as of this moment is that he is appearing in the Iron Man suit in "Captain America: Civil War," "Avengers: Infinity War Part 1," and "Avengers: Infinity War Part 2" which have playdates of 2016, 2018, and 2019 respectively.
