Attack on Titan Live -Action Movie is going to dominate Americas. The film adaptation of the famous anime/manga series is directed by Shinji Higuchi which is expected to premiere in Los Angeles this July.
According to IGN, the two-part Attack on Titan movie will hit theaters in North, Central and South America where fans can watch the movie with English subtitle. FUNimation Entertainment has the rights to distribute the upcoming Japanese movie which is believed to gain a lot of supporters from the Americas. On July 14, it will premiere at the Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles.
The iDigitalTimes shared FUNimation's insight on having the rights over the popular manga's film. "FUNimation is honored to host the world premiere of Attack on Titan here in the United States with Toho," Attack on Titan is truly a worldwide phenomenon and we are excited to bring the live action movie to theaters across the Americas later this fall." This is according to Gen Fukunaga, CEO and President of FUNimation Entertainment.
As reported by Coming Soon, Attack on Titan is set up in a world where the characters live in a series of connected cities which are guarded by huge walls. These walls exist in order to keep the giant Titans away. As the Titans eat a lot of humans, the population has dramatically decreased and selected few will have to do something to end it. The plot which can be seen from the printed manga is going to be the same one that is expected to be in the movie.
Because of the popularity of the manga, Attack on Titan has not only made it into the movies, it also has its own video game. Meanwhile, the Japanese fans will be able to see the movie on August 1 for the 1st part and on September 19 for the 2nd part.
